Perfection!

Good morning everyone.

This week I'm sharing a layout created using Shimelle's Starshine Collection. created for All About Scrapbooks.

I began with my white cardstock, adding a thin layer of gesso and then painting with acrylic paints.
I went with the reds and navy's for this layout - very appropriate for my sweet little niece who lives in the USA.
I LOVE this photo, and thought the blue would complement the denim (aint that the cutest little toosh and legs you ever did see?)

I then layered up with some tags, and strips of paper, before fussy cutting the gorgeous flowers.
I adhered a few of the flowers using foam tape to give some extra dimension.

I then added my title using a 2 Crafty Chipboard title - I love the font!!

A few embellishments were then added.
Some of the embellishments come from Cocoa Vanilla's Free Spirit range - they just matched so perfectly!!

That's about it!

Kit the Habit - Love my Tribe

Hello everyone!

Well have I been having some fun playing with the awesome new Kit Release from Kit the Habit.
This kit is so fun! I love it.  It's Bohemian, it's Wild, it's just a little bit gorgeous.

Here's my first page created with the kit....

This release is all about adventures, the outdoors, finding your inner wild, and loving your tribe. It's fun and full of colour - splashes of lime, pink, teal and orange teamed with nature's earthy tones and some neutral black and whites.  Think feathers, beads, teepees, and arrows.

Emma (Emzascrapper) and I had a lot of fun with this one. Again we have made/designed everything within this kit.  From the papers, through to the Randoms, the flairs and Emma created some amazing bohemian feathers! So gorgeous!

I'm super proud of this one (if you can't tell!)

So back to my page........

I began by swiping a light coat of gesso over white cardstock.  I then splodged some black and green paint towards the top of the paper, quickly spritzing it with water, and allowing it to run down the page.

From here I added a few strips of torn papers, and washi tape - I think this is my real 'style'.  I do it often, and I always love the results.
I added some stamping, and then layered up papers and foils, adding my photo to the top of this.  I really love the black and whites in this kit.  Use them as neutrals, or colour them in.

I added my title - man I LOVE that word! Guess what!! That is my hand writing! Acrylic cut from my hand writing.  Boy did I squeal when I saw these completed!  One of those YES moments.

I really love all the beading in each kit.  I love that they are all a little bit different from one another. I twirled these around the page, and finished off with embellishments.......how adorable is that tepee?? So cute!  I kinda had to add that, and then I cut some of my favourite quotes from the 'Little Bit of Randoms'.
I finished it off by stamping some circles using black paint and an empty toilet roll!

So I had the perfect photos for this kit.
These were taken a few months ago....the kids and I were visiting our Gramps, and we had such a fun, crazy day together.  I love these photos and have been hanging out to scrap them.....
.but I had to wait as I knew this kit was happening, and I knew how perfect they would be

For any of you have missed our kit release......here it is.....

Told you it was amazing.
Head over to Facebook, find the photo of the kit and comment Sold, and we will contact you from there. Easy!

Well I'll be back real soon with another WILD layout!

Young Wild and Free - Boho Dreams

Happy FriYay everyone!

This week for All About Scrapbooks I've been playing with Kaisercraft's Boho Dreams Range.
As soon as I saw this range, I knew I had to create a layout for my daughter, she has always loved Dream Catchers.

I began with a piece of Kraft Paper. I went a bit crazy spreading gesso around.
I then used some Tim Holtz paints - I splodged them onto the background and then spritzed with water and allowed them to run down the page.

I used the dream catcher from the sticker sheet, and added extra feathers which I cut from the black and white paper.  I then added a few micro beads to various feathers.

I added a few layers of paper, and then mainly embellished with more stickers.
I loved all the sayings on the word stickers, so I used lots of them.

I hope you get some scrapping time over the weekend!!

This Rocks! ....more Cocoa Vanilla

Good morning everyone.....can you believe Friday has snuck up on us already?  So it means that it's my turn to share over at All About Scrapbooks.

This week I've had another play with Cocoa Vanilla's Totally Rad Collection.
I adore this!  Cocoa Vanilla do the best ranges!
I love how everything just works together and I love that they are Australian!

This layout documents my son's basketball Grand Final win, so the embellies worked so well!

I chose black cardstock for the background, swiped some gesso and then added some stamping.
I added a few strips of paper, and then layered some papers around my photo, adding lots of embellishments.

I also decided to add a few stars to the layout as it suited the theme.
I used a variety of 2Crafty Chipboard Stars - I painted them in colours to suit the layout.
The white stars are created by using the 'negative' chipboard background as a template.
I just grabbed a white pen and traced around it. Easy!

I love it!
I love that with this range I was able to create both a bold, bright strong layout, and also a softer lighter layout too (a couple of weeks ago).
Such a versatile range, and so awesome for our boys.

I also found the time to create a Project Life spread with the leftovers.

I love the colours!

Here's the left side:

And here's the right:

I love creating these snapshots of our weeks!

Enjoy your weekend!

Life is Beautiful - Boy Page

This week for my designing at All About Scrapbooks I've created another layout using the Hello Beautiful Collection by Fancy Pants.

Last week I created a girly page, so this week I wanted to create a boyish page.
It's something I've been doing lately, and it's fun!
It pushes my creativity.

So here's the boyish page:

I used the wood grain paper as my background and then concentrated on the black, white and yellow in the range, adding just a splash of teal.

I layered up some mixed media for my background.  I used gesso, then added some swipes of paint.
On top of this I added some texture paste using a stencil, and then I finished off with some stamping.

I then layered up some of the gorgeous embellishments.
I used lots of foam tape to give the layout some dimension.

I also added in some 2Crafty Chipboard triangles, covering them with leftover papers first.

To finish off, I added a few puffy dot stickers.

I hope you've had a great week and can relax over the weekend.
I'll be back again soon!

Laugh.....

Good morning!

Today I'm sharing a layout I designed for All About Scrapooks using Fancy Pants 'Life is Beautiful' range.
This is a gorgeous range!
I love the colours, and how they've paired it with black and white.
Just perfect for me!

I selected the spot paper as my background, then added some gesso and acrylic brush strokes in a random fashion, approximately where my photo and embellishments were going to go.

I added a few strips of paper to the left hand side, and then from the gorgeous embellishments - OMG you get SOOO many in this pack - I selected some florals, doilies, hearts and frames.

I layered these around my photos, popping some on flat with adhesive and some with foam tape to add dimension.
I even used the teeny tiny hearts that I popped out of the doilies! Super cute!

I then added my title and all important journaling.

Scrap you later!
xx

Scrap the Girls September Reveal

Hi everyone!!

Happy first day of Spring!!!
Well that sure makes me happy.....I'm not a fan of winter.....I crave the sunshine.

The first of the month also means a new reveal over at Scrap the Girls.
This month it's a sketch, and as always, it's a goodie.

Here it is:

And here's my take on it

I mirrored the sketch.  This just suited my photo better, as its usually best to have the person in the photo looking into the layout, rather than away from.

I went with bright, fun and bold colours, and had a bit of fun with paint and fussy cutting!

This month we have a prize from D-Lish Scraps.  It's one of their Just Add Paper Kits - these sell out super fast, so make an awesome prize.
They have some awesome scrappy goodies......check them out HERE.
I can't wait to see what you create.

Don't forget to check out the other Design Team Members layouts HERE.  You will love them!

Happy scrapping!!
